“Do we not realize that self-respect comes from self-reliance?” - A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

Self-dependence or self-reliance means dependence entirely upon oneself. It’s one of the most valuable gifts an individual can give himself. Bangladesh has an abundance of skilled human capital, and those who are self-sufficient can work & earn to meet their daily needs on their own. Many government and non-government agencies provide employment opportunities to citizens, but there are still many people who are unemployed and depend on others to get by. That’s why we're focusing on self-dependency for its innumerous precedence to look at. We can better understand the facts of self-dependence by looking at the details contained in the following Ujjibon posters.

Mother is the heartbeat in the home; and without her, there seems to be no heartthrob.” - Leroy Brownlow Mother’s Day is the special time of year when we get to celebrate our first best friend and the person we always turn to when we need advice. However, it should not be the only day on which their contributions are recognized. They have been the ones who have invested the most in our upbringing since we were born. They have served in numerous roles as a friend, a doctor, a counselor, an adviser and so on allowing us to maneuver through various life situations with ease. Remembering every tiny effort and initiatives taken by them, on behalf of the Ujjibon team we pay our respects and love to all of the courageous and fierce mothers around the world. The sacrifices they've made for us are incalculable.

To sum it up shortly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define the world we want and is there to ensure that no one is left behind. Antonio Guterres once said, "Humanitarian response, sustainable development, and sustaining peace are three sides of the same triangle." In order to secure peace, we must now come forward to fulfill these goals.

"Leave no one behind", the motto of the Sustainable Development Goals is what Ujjibon hopes to accomplish.

Here is a take on SDGs in light of Ujjibon's perspective.

We live in a high-density country with a lot of demand in every sector to meet. There has been a lot of progress in the job sector in recent years. Despite this, a large number of people are financially unstable. One of the foremost issues is that, they're either ignorant or reluctant to use the resources that are open to them. Choosing between our current employment and our dream jobs is a hard call. Perhaps this is why Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Here we might take a look at Ujjibon's write-up to get a better elaboration about the career openings!

Even if the country's unengaged midlife crisis is addressed strategically, it might not be fully eradicated. The most disappointing finding is that trained people have a higher unemployment rate. As a result, there is increasing concern in the country that if large numbers of trained young people struggle to find work as a result of the development process, this may lead to widespread social unrest.

For a more comprehensive description, Ujjibon has highlighted this issue as a way for us to become more aware of our country's current situation.

Ujjibon wishes a very happy Eid Mubarak to everyone. This year has been brutal, to say the least. In these dark times, let the spirited occasion of Eid be the beam of hope to keep steering us forward. Conveying all the love, prayers and positivity to our Ujjibon family.

"𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦; (1) 𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦. (2) 𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦, 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧𝘧."
-Surah Al Kawthar

Self-Employment could be the other word for Self-empowerment. A work that only you initiate and only you rule is more precious. It not only teaches you to take liability for your failures and own success but also inspire people around you. Success in your business may ultimately come down to the level of passion you have for your field. Therefore, finding something that evokes passion should be of utmost concern.
If there prevails the courage, the will, the confidence to build, to start, to bring about, then self-employment would be deemed a piece of cake.

"𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 12 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘴𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 8 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦."
-Oliver Markus Malloy

Ujjibon, along with her righteous purposes, strives to enable and support the hands hoping to establish self-employment for themselves.

"𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘐𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦."
 - 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘣𝘪𝘨

Diane Helbig, along with countless distinct thinkers chants the same mantra. Networking is that investment, that doesn't impose an economic effort but mandates 'your' time.
Networking is marketing. Marketing yourself, your individualism, what your ideologies are for. Ronald Burt aptly said, "𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴."

Ujjibon is yearning to be your eyes by cultivating a community where you can erect your network and be of aid to both you and your networks.
